Itinerary description
This was approx 4-1/2 to 5 hrs walk. Left Santiago Del Teide at approx 8:45am, returning 13:15.
A walk amongst some Lava fields and Almond trees. There are some stretches that cover uneven stony ground after the Lava field, and can be tiring underfoot.
Route continued via Arguayo, then contoured around Mtna Hoya. The views to the SDT valley here are worth the effort. Coffee and a doughnut, plus a beer, before catching 460 Bus to Estación Costa Adeje at 14:35.

There’s construction about 2km before the end, but after a ramble we found the path again, only now (in Jan 2023) it’s not really accessible either, which brought spirits down after quite a few hours of hiking.
Otherwise the views can be rewarding, and the flora interesting.
There’s a lot of walking on small stones, about 3cm, tightly packed, which can be hard work on the feet. The motorway towards the end can be heard for a long time before arriving there too.
Quite a mixed view of this one.
