Itinerary description
Leaving Santiago del Teide, the path eventually took me to a junction (RISCO BLANCO TF 65.1) and upwards to reach a Ridge and then on a very indistinct path which requires a bit of route finding, toward the El Molledo Junction. On reaching the junction carry straight on around the ridge to descend into the Barranco Mancha De Los Diaz.
At he bottom where meeting an old GALERIA/ Water Channel bridge (Galeria de La Junquera ), head UP the dry stream-bed for a bit, marked by piles of stones (Cairns), until the mouth of the 'Tunnel' can be seen on the RIGHT. It is simple walking to the tunnel end, although please take a good torch!
After leaving the Tunnel, I ascended the ridge again to the Degollada /Saddle, and left at a junction of paths. This led to a Rock Outcrop on the top of the ridge, where, going Left(indicated by a painted an arrow on the rock), a bit of Scrambling/ Climbing, was required to reach the path on the top. ------ There is possibly an easier route if going right/ straight on?? .....
This led to a plateau, and after a good look around, descended again on another path to reach the PR TF 65, which takes you all the way down to Puerto Santiago.
