Es aconsejable emprender el camino temprano, sobre todo en verano.Levar abundante agua, ya que no hay ningún punto en el trayecto donde reponer. A partir del Lomo del Cerrilal la señalización del camino no es buena por lo que el camino hacia Teguerguenche y la vuelta hacia el mismo punto no es fácil de seguir, teniendo que hacerlo en ocasiones de manera intuitiva.
