Itinerary description

Fabulous route, not difficult although quite long (17 Kms). Start at Venta Socorro, follow Route XIII to the forest gate below the woodyard. Go through forest gate and follow Route V (backwards) until you get to the heel of the boot on the El Peso track. Leave the track and go along the little Carboneras stream path to the ford, crossing the river a few times on the path. Then go through the wire gate and uphill on a good track, past the Black Pigs. Return to Gaucin on the El Peso track and Umbria.

The wiki track turns right and returns to Gaucin via "La Umbria", Town Hall Route VI. Or if you go straight on at this junction for 5 minutes you reach a gate and cattle grid. Go across the cattle grid and immediately turn right on a rough track (the Camino de Ronda) which passes Finca La Umbria and then returns on a track above the main road. (shorter but not as pretty)
