Itinerary description

This route starts from the lay-by in the Barranco Blanco area and follows the road down to the bridge that crosses the Rio Alaminos above the waterfall.
The walk continues up the incline and follows the PR-A-338 and past the big villa until it reaches the junction where the Sponsored Hike turned right but now we go to the left and follow the fire track south.
When the track reaches the col, with the view of the coast, the walk takes path to the left which has become neglected and very rutted so care is needed on the descent.
The path goes down into the urbanisation and passes a few large villas and crosses the river at the ford.
The return starts here and follows the access road past the wall around the lake, where you may get a sneak look at what’s behind the wall.
Follow the road back up a very steep but short stretch and back onto the access road to the valley and back to the cars.
From Coin: Take the A3303 towards Alhaurin Golf, past Los Nebrales Urbanisation and take the second access road into the woods.
