Itinerary description
This walk is well marked ( orange triangles) and signed posted. We started at the Crossing Picnic ground and followed for the most part The Burchall trail, on the way to the Pines car park you walk past some old gold diggings which are well posted, the Pines area has some big mullock heaps well worth exploring, from here head through the gate and head north towards Friday’s picnic ground, picnic tables and toilets here, then on to the Old Mill camping ground via the pine and furze tracks, continue along the furze track to the Bracken track onto the Old Century mine, look for the tin shed which houses the old shaft. You then head down hill to Yankee creek and across the boardwalk then upwards towards Lease road and onwards to Banksia track turn left and head for home. Follow the markers all the way and be careful of mine shafts if you leave the tracks.
