Itinerary description

A relatively short but enjoyable hike with many historical ruins and beautiful flora (depending on the season). There is parking at the top of the hill but it is closed off on weekends.

Portions of the hike are off the trail so it is recommended to bring long pants and closed shoes.

You can use the Amud Anan app (https://amudanan.co.il/) while hiking to find additional points of interest that I have not marked.

Titorah Hill:
Likely the site of ancient Modiin, it features a significant amount of ruins including a Byzantine era manor house, ritual baths, pidgin loft, Crusader fortress, and more. It was also the location of the Battle of al-Burj during the War of Independence.

Green Trail:
After visiting the ruins you can follow the green “flora” trail (during the rainy season) which has signs along the way with information about various plants that can be found in the area.

The trail is not particularly shaded (although there are some rest stops under trees along the way) so it is recommended to bring a hat and water during the summer months.
