Itinerary description

We started our walk for today from " Les Fonts de Cervières " heading to Col Péas. The ascent was long but the scenery was amazing with the valley behind us and the mountains all around. After crossing the "Col de Péas", we began our long descent to "Souliers". This descent is full of beautiful scenery. Arrived to Souliers, we continued to our right, passing by a small church. The trail started to go up slowly till we reached an intersection where you can go left to "Col du tronchet". Instead, we continued straight to Lac de Souliers. The ascent seemed endless! The lake is an ideal place to rest or have a lunch break. From the lake, we took a trail to "Col du Tronchet" where you can have beautiful 360 degrees panaromas. After this excursion to the lake (not on GR 58 but worth the visit), we went down from another route following the "col du tronchet" Signposts. Before reaching the "col" from the other side, there is a turn to the right that leads you to Brunissard. We went to the Col just to mark the waypoint before descending to Brunissard on a trail in the woodland. We spent our night in this beautiful village at the gîte d'étape "les bons enfants" (another excellent gîte).
