Itinerary description

A high balcony path known as the Höhenweg (high way) connects Saas Fee to Grachen. One of the most beautiful stages of Monte Rosa tour. We did it on a beautiful sunny day and we had the opportunity to admire beautiful sceneries all around. You can't get distracted most of the time because this trail has too many exposed areas and risky passages on rocky unstable terrain where you have to advance quickly. Many cables and ropes are here to help at difficult waypoints. You will be walking on the edge lot of times but this is not a problem for good hikers. This trail is definitely not suitable for beginners. It needs lot of focus most of time. The last part is hard on knees with a steep descent to Grachen.
