Itinerary description
|
The route begins with a pleasant track and passes through several stupas.
We cross the small village of Kyangjuma,
We cross the village of Sanasa with the detour to Phortse Thenga and Gokyo. which will be where we turn.
We begin a descent until we reach the village of Phungi Thenga, where we cross to the other side of the Dudh Koshi river by its suspension bridge.
From here the strongest climb of the day and of the entire trek, a climb of about 525 meters to the Tengboche Monastery.
Spectacular place for the monastery but also for the magnificent views from here.
From Tengboche we continue to Pangboche for about 4 kms.......here at almost 4000 meters the terrain begins to change, becoming more arid and with much lower vegetation.
