After a copious snowfall throughout the night, Lobuche dawns completely covered in snow.
As in the previous days, the morning dawns clear although it won't take long for the sky to cover up, so we hurry to get going as time is short.
Our idea is to get to Gorakshep, leave the backpacks (or whatever weighs the most) at the Lodge where we will spend the following night to go lighter to Base Camp.
We head north parallel to the Khumbu Glacier along a path that rises and in the blink of an eye the enormous vision of the row of giants such as Pumori, Lingtren, Khumbutse Peak and Nuptse opens before us. We will continue crossing the Changri Nup Glacier along a much steeper and stony path, advancing more slowly and where the altitude already takes its toll, until we reach Gorak Shep.
Without practically resting we take the road to the North always parallel to the Khumbu Glacier. In 1.5 hours more or less we will be in the CB. At this point, due to the fatigue and the altitude, the nerves are already on the surface and the CB can already be seen in the background.
After arriving at BC, we take the obligatory photos and simply rest there seeing the immensity of what we have in front of us. Finally, with the day quite covered we took the same path to Gorakshep, already with a heavy snowfall.
