Easy trekking that allows you to discover the northern coast of Barcelona, just 20 km from the city. If the weather is good and hot, you can end the walk swimming in a nice beach in the Mediterranean.

Tha trek takes 3 hours but take time to enjoy he nice views and to discover the Middle Age Casttle of Burriac, placed inside the Natural Park of Serralada Litoral (Catalan Littoral range).

This is an easy walk that you can do with children. Take into account that there is no water along the way and if the day is hot, water will be absolutely necessary.

If you have a car, drive northern Barcelona taking the highway C-32 to Mataró and take the exit to Cabrera de Mar village. Drive to Cabrera and park your car at the Parking near the center. All the way will takes you 30'. With public tansport, take the train to Mataró and stop at the Cabrera de Mar-Vilassar de Mar railway station. From here, take the bus to Cabrera village (http://www.vilassardemar.cat/recursos-compartits/arxius/C16.pdf). The way will take you 1 hour).

From the church of Cabrera, follow the Pujada de les Monges street and then the Camí d'Agell to the cementiry. From here, you must turn left and follow the violet marks along the trail and walk up to the casttle (45'). From the casttle, located in a great location, enjoy the views of the Maresme coast, the Montseny mountains and in a clar day, the Pyrenees. At the casttle, several pannels explain the long history of this impressive construction.

From the casttle, walk to the cross and follows the violet signs to the right. You follow a range up and down to a second cross placed on Montcabrer hill (1h from the casttle). From here, you have great views of the cosat and the city of Barcelona, with the Montjuïch hill.
