Itinerary description
A lovely circular trail of 11.0 kms (PR4 and part PR5), providing spectacular views of the river Tua, and of the surrounding landscape.
Starting by the café, and the church in the village of Abreiro, the trail sends you eventually down to the waters edge sometimes passing almond trees in bloom (if you go in the first week in March) and later passing fantastic displays of colour in the rocks. Having reached the highest view point (7.5 kms) the last 5.5 kms is all downhill and easy.
Well marked, and a spectacular trail especially with the sun shining
Rated Moderate.
