This is the famous trek to the Troll Tongue ("Trolltunga"). Starting point is the paid parking (NOK 300), which can be reached by car from Tyssedal. The path leads up a paved road in serpentines, alternatively you can also take a steeper path up the hill. After just 4 kilometers, we start the actual hiking trail. The view during the hike is breathtaking! The barren, but wild landscape of the Hardangervidda we really liked. Even if the way is in every travel guide and therefore amounts to a lot, you can still run quite relaxed in the summer, as the "crowds" on the long distance equalize. In the later section you will already have a wonderful view of the reservoir Ringedalsvatnet, over which reaches the destination of the promontory Trolltunga. People are lining up at the Troll Tongue itself to take a picture of themselves above the abyss. Since it is worthwhile to go early in the morning to be there before the others;) Even if we have waived such a photo, worth the long climb in any case! The length of the hike is not to be underestimated. Good footwear, enough water and condition should be brought. The Troll tongue belongs to a migrant wheat in Norway! We recommend! :)
