THAT ROUTE IS VERY DANGEROUS.
If you are a standart hiker I highly recomend the following website before doing it.

From the MTR, take the exit A and just go straight to the route.
I found the water a little bit poluted in the beggining, but got clear as you go up.
If you want you can exit when you reach the bridge waypoint.
A little tricky if you dont want to wet your shoes but some parts you have to enter into the water. Depth into the cheast for a person with 1.80m
In the end I took a trail to the bridge again to stop and eat as I found the best place of the stream.
When returning I took a dirty path almost closed until the connection with the concrete path.
