Itinerary description
This is a long hike starting at sunrise and finishing at sunset.
I started at the Eira do Serrado side of the Tunnel of Curral das Freiras, hiking all the way up the surrounding mountain summits towards Pico do Arieiro. From there following the famous trail towards Pico Ruivo, then westwards and descending into the valley where I had my apartment.
The views are spectacular and breathtaking.
(In this hike I didn't go to the summit of Pico Ruivo but passed by, because I have been to the summit in my previous hike 2 days earlier).
