Itinerary description
The highest hill on Tysnesøy and surely one of the best vantage points in Hordaland. Standing on the summit, it struck my that I could literally see all peaks I scaled in the area! The walk starts of at Dalen golf area and cabins, signposted from the main road. The first two kilometers follow a well-maintained forest road through old forest. We did this hike in october and were treated to a spectaculair palette of autumn colours. After the track ends and continues as a path, you reach a plateau dotted with fens and lakes: a great area to have lunch. Onwards, the trail crosses the gently sloping plateau and then starts to climb, climb and climb even more. Do not despair: the views are well worth the effort!
