Itinerary description

This hike starts at the far end of the road along lake Svartediket. On the way up to Ulriken the trail follows a relatively steep ridge with excellent views of Bergen City and Isdalen valley. Once at the radio tower (that is also a restaurant) the trail follows the popular Vidden route over the plateau for c. a half hour. Then the descent begins, following another quiet trail down the steep-walled Trolldalen valley.

The road to the trailhead can be a bit boring despite the great scenery. I recommend using a bicycle to reach the starting point of the hike.
