Itinerary description
Jebel Shams W6 (starting from Jebel Shams Resort, the official start at al-Khitaym village).
Surely that's reason enough to visit Oman. An unique beauty!
*W6 path in good condition. But not suitable for people having fear height.
*The elevation gain and loss is not correct. GPS spikes near the cliffs. Appx 500-600 m.
*Starting afternoon could be good, almost shadow and better for photo light.
*From Jebel Shams resort to al-Khitaym village lies non-asphalt car road. I choose first hiking over the canyon wall. You can connect car road at any point.
*Accomodation is expensive at Jabal Shams. You can stay at your own tent at the resort for 10 rial. You can have breakfast and dinner at the resort. It is close to W6 start but 4 km away from W4 start.

A good walk and clear description
Nice trail, buddy! When you suggest to start it in the afternoon, you mean like 01pm? I'm worrying be night when return. Considering it's a loop, and you took like 7h30 to complete it, how was it?
You can finish in 5-6 hours. Consider daylight duration for start time.
