Itinerary description
The beginning of the trail was a steep hill but soon become flat and the villages were lovely, with interesting history of the Spanish colonizers that came back rich and built incredible palaces, local schools and hospitals still standing today.
However we realised that we were following the trail next the road ( la Nacional) away from the sea so we changed direction through the beutiful riverside of rio Puron and was totally worthwhile as the track is astonishing. It is harder as there is a challenging hill but once you get to the top is worthwhile as the views to the cliffs are unique. What we strongly recommend is to check la playa del toro as it was the best end to a wonderful day.
