Itinerary description
This trail is great at all times of the year but is especially nice in the fall and spring when the water flow is higher. It can be walked in either direction but walking up the east side provides better views of the creek as it runs through the lush fern and moss covered valley.
There is a shortcut route across the creek near the bottom (at waypoint photo #6) but on this day the water flow was too high to ford.
At waypoint photo #22 you are on a ridge which provides views down into East Bing Creek & West Bing Creek. Who knew there were two?
You will mostly be walking under the cover of a mixed fir and maple forest. Great on a hot summer day!
Retreads Hiking Club gives this hike an AVA rating of 3B.
