Itinerary description

This track follows Waterfall Creek up to the main Falls and Utopia waterhole. The rock pools and waterfall are located in a section of the Mt Walsh National Park that is easily accessible by car in dry weather. Lots of rock hopping and a little rock climbing at the end. No the final section of the drive in is along dirt road and that there are no toilets at the start.

The hike start out following the track to the rockpool area. This is a great place to have a swim on the return from the whole hike. From this point you progressed up the creek either rock hopping or climbing over trees been or skirting the edges of the creek.

As you progress to the upper end of the creek you will reach a narrow gorge which will eventually lead you to the final waterhole. To get to the cave at the end of the waterfall you need to scale a cliff face with the aid of vines that cover the side of the rock face. Do not attempt unless you are familiar with climbing.

The return is back down the same route.

Hi we never went that far. I suppose you could try exploring above the waterfall but you would have to go back a little bit down the creek and try to come up the spur.
