Itinerary description
This is a medium difficulty, circular hike. It takes about 4 hours to walk it. The path is mostly fine but there are substantial sections with rocks and tree roots. The ascents and descents can be a little steep. It starts in the centre of Valdemaqueda before heading out into the country. It gradually ascends to a low pass and then heads up to the first, rocky viewpoint. Then back down again before having lunch next to the Cofio River in a verdant riverside location. Then follow the riverbank before ascending to another viewpoint, before dropping into town.
The trail goes through picturesque pine parkland. You can see the surrounding peaks, including the snow covered Gredos mountains, from the rocky ridges! The highlight is definitely the section along the banks of the Cofio River - rushing water, trees, birdsong, a medieval bridge, and even a little island

Gracias por compartir. Seguí está ruta pero había momentos en que el camino no estaba bien definido y era fácil perderse.
