Itinerary description
Parked at Bibos and had to walk around the lagoon to start the hike up past the horse riding center, following the electric pylons, steep uphill. Although only end of May it was super hot (about 30 degrees) and very exposed despite the usual Levante wind. It’s a rocky dusty path up 300 m above sea level (unless it’s rainy then it’s muddy).
Was glad of the shade finally when I reached forest behind Betijuelo, but still steep climb. At this stage I normally go down to PuntaPaloma but I had run out of time and the tide was in so it would have cut me off, so I made my way back down same way.
Conclusion: mad dogs and English women go out in midday sun! Try it early morning or late evening!
