An easy walk from the idyllic situated village of Melegís. The stretch between Melegís and Castillo de Lojuela mainly goes along narrow roads through orange /tangerine/lemon groves and olive ochards with good views into the Valle de Lecrin.
The ruins of the Castillo de Lojuela are magnificently situated. From the castle a narrow track will lead you down but once you reach the orange groves iti s not always easily visible because of erosion.
Once you get to the road close to the Rio Durcal there are various possiblities to end this walk.
We chose the option to cross the river and took the dirt road that goes to Restabal.
