Itinerary description
This is not an indicated route by any signs or yellow and white markings. It’s somewhat tricky to find the start to the hike. We asked someone at the lical guachinche and they pointed us in the right direction.
To start off with we walked up to and to the right around the guachinche and then almost immediately took what looked like a potential path to the left. Where at the top we found better evidence of the path.
From then keep your eyes peeled when following the path as it’s incredibly easy to deviate from the indicated route.
Aside from the start not too difficult. If it’s raining the rocks get very slippery so take extra care. It’s started raining as we were walking. Some parts are also very close to the edge where it often drops down quite steeply or into prickly pear cacti so take again take care.
Ending with some good food at la cochinera guachinche where we started was the perfect end to the hike.
Not one of the most breathtaking hikes at all but fairly easy and still beautiful.
