Itinerary description
This is a moderate walk through a beautiful valley. The view stretches well south over the preserve of northwestern Chãos. Parking at the chapel of Quebrada de Cima one walks north to the settlement of Prazos and one can visit the pleasant picnic area near a spring and under the rock escarpment which might be called The Gorgon (Gorgão, hard to tell). Continue up the hill and it's an easy walk up to the overlook the valley. Coming to Marques (you'll pass Rua da Lagoa) then bear left to come back down the paved road and take a left at the Rua do Prazo.
Update: This valley was completely burnt out in the Summer of 2022. I'm looking forward to walking it again to see how things are coming back - but I'm sure things have changed.
