Itinerary description
We parked our car at the big parking space near the tourist office at the entrance of the village. From there we walked up to the first mill. Then we took a footpath that goes down the hilll in the direction of the ocean, all the time giving beautiful views. The landscape is very pleasing to the eye and enormously scenic.
When we got to the A2230 we followed this road for about 200 metres and turned left at the first wide track to the left. From now on the scenery becomes pastoral en gradually ascends until you reach the Cerro de Buenavista.
We turned left on a small track that winds its way through the trees and bushes and for a part even is a completely sunken road. Once we got to a wider track, suitable for cars, we turned left again and gradually this track goes up again to the top of the hill. Getting to the the road next to the footpath you wil see the mills popping up while you keep on following the ridge .
From our waypoint hat indicates a picknick sign there is a wonderful view of all of Vejer.
From there we walked randomly through the village enjoying the many surprising views and beautiful spots.

Lovely route down from Jerez on the old roman path up through the countryside and back to Jerez along the top of the hill where youpass the old windmills.
As you reach the road at the new hospital La Janda you can walk along the outer side of the hospital wall to avoid walking on the road.
The route is very quiet with beautiful views. I would avoid this route in summer as there is very little shade but perfect on a winter day.
