Itinerary description

This is an easy hike without any technical diffifulty. From our starting point a dirt road leads almost all the way up to the stupa. The last little bit of path is nicely paved and trees on either side will give you some shade. However, that part of the trail is short and the rest of it is in the blazing sun. The plaza around the stupa is beatiful and there are also shady spots and benches to relax on. The views from up here are gorgeous. You look at La Maroma and Canillas de Aceituno on one side and to the other side you can see Comares up on the top of the hill.
From the stupa we continued the short trail that took us to the Torre de la Atalaya. Again, you're rewarded with stunning views, this time you will also be able to see Lake Viñuela.
