Itinerary description
I originally called this tour 'Camino de la Plata' as I'd seen something on the Internet.
However, it's more correctly called, in my opinion, 'Ventana del Nublo'.
The tour starts at Cruz Grande where there's parking for about 6 cars on either side of the cut through the rocks -you'll know what I mean when you see it.
The signpost is on the north side of the road, south of the cut and is clearly marked Ventana del Nublo.
There is a steady climb as the (paved) path zig-zags up the mountain. There are wild flowers on both sides of the path at various intervals. When the path finishes, there is a rocky terrain and the track is not immediately obvious, but there is a small stone pillar, go to the left of it to make it easier. If you go on the track to the right, it's a bit harder, but you'll come to the same point.
Walking through the pine forest I found pleasant and relaxing.
Eventually, you'll see a sign for Ventana del Nublo indicated with a pair of binoculars.
That is the highlight of the trip. From here, you'll see Roque Nublo and on a fine day all the way to Mount Teide on Tenerife! You'll also have experienced great views of the mountains and valleys here.
It took me about 210 minutes for the return trip.
