One of the must-do-walks of Madeira. Since it’s a very nice trail and quite easy, it’s very popular and therefore recommended to start as early as possible if you want to avoid the crowds. There’s a big parking at the start that quickly fills up during the day.
Great views of the rocky coasts of the eastern-most peninsula on Madeira. There are some small rocky beaches that we did not visit, but take swimming clothes if you want to make this an all-day event.
Alternatively, the sandy beach of Machico is around the corner as well!

Very nice walk! Quite easy, apart from the last climb which I would consider moderate to hard, it also had signs with “danger” before climbing, but the gorgeous views make it worth it (also without the climb the hike is very beautiful). We started around 09:00 in the morning (in February) and it was nice and quiet when we started, but on our way back the big crowds came in. So if you truly want the place for yourself you have to start even earlier ;)
