Itinerary description
This walk starts where an unpaved road ends. If you have enough time, you can start this walk a few kilometers earlier as in this splendid gorge, opposite to the site of the road, there is a footpath with nice hanging bridges. At the end of the road, there is a parking site belonging to a tavern. As it was for sale, it's no problem to park your car there. Another parking is a few hundreds meters earlier (a sharp turn to the right, towards the river).
The lower part of this wonderful walk was originally built to access an nowadays abandonned iron & copper mine. The easy version of the walk, without much climbing, is just following the river and returning along the same way. However it's really worthwhile to do the circular version and preferably clockwise, to get splendid views of the highest peaks of the Sierra Nevada. After the high part of this walk, when you almost join the main, lower path, you have to cross the river. By the end of May 2014, the bridge was not yet repaired (see the last picture, where you see the wooden bridge laying in the river). We had to take off our hiking boots to cross the river as the water level was just too high. In summer time it might be possible to cross with boots.

It's not a technical difficult walk, but it's a long walk.
