Itinerary description

The trail started next to the Jugglers Rest guesthouse.

First, we followed signs directing us to the Hilltop Viewpoint (the so called Tirohanga track). From the hilltop we continued down to the town.

In the town we crossed the bridge over the marina and we followed signs to the Harbour View. The trail followed an uphill path in the bush, a gravel road and then an asphalt road, offering at times views on the harbour.

After passing next to two small car parkings, we followed the Snout Track markings, directing us again on a path in bush. After reaching the Queen Charlotte View, you can continue until the end of the peninsula (the Snout).
