Itinerary description
A circular walk from the La Paz restaurant in Vilaflor that climbs to the Torre de Los Topos fire tower. From here, wide tracks are followed to a junction where there are a number of route choices. A short distance uphill is an information board by the ruins of an old silviculture settlement. Straight ahead from the junction, a short distance, you arrive at a view into the Barranco del Cuervo. The main route turns left at the junction. Later in the route, a right turn into a barranco, follows an, at times, ill defined path to a spectacular viewpoint at La Coruja. From here, the route follows the GR131 back to Vilaflor.
NOTE: Be alert at the start, as the walk leaves the road on a wide dirt track opposite the La Paz restaurant, for a narrow path ascending left. I missed this turning and walked up the barranco and had to subsequently climb steeply out to locate the correct path. I have marked the point where the path starts and also the point where I joined it, so ignore my GPS trail between these two waymarks.

We also missed the start and had to scramble. The start was quite overgrown we went back and recorded it correctly on our route. Fabulous scenery good tracks, care needed just before rejoining the Camino trail near the end of the hike
Hi, glad you enjoyed the hike. I wasn't paying attention at the start of the walk but when I returned, went and checked out the start and found the path quite easily. Agree about the path as you join the GR131, the path downhill before meeting it near the viewpoint is a little vague.

Great hike. As mentioned in the description - ignored started GPS track and found right enter to the trail. We did it in 02:35 min. The first 2km was much more difficult then the rest of the trail due to climb (500m high), then 3km on the dusty road (which I prefer not to do) and then the most interesting part of the trail. Thank for the posting your track!
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you for the comments 🙂👍
