Itinerary description

Bled is a lovely place surrounded by natural wonders. The Vintgar gorge is one of them. Being within walking range of the city this walk leads us through country roads to the gorge entrance, and then from St. Katarina church to Zasip and back to Bled.
The gorge is amazing, totally worth the 10 euros entrance. This hike has been highlighted on Cicerone and Lonely Planet guides. I would however probaby prefer a round trip to the gorge parking lot through the green trail avoiding most of the tamac and returning to the parking through the woods.

Please note that the elevation gain is far exaggerate by punctual failures of the GPS. The actual elevation gain and loss was of about 200 m. A better description of that is found on
