The Vintgar Gorge is a 1600 m long and up to 250 m deep gorge at the eastern end of Triglav National Park, 4 km northwest of central Bled.
At the entrance to Blejski Vintgar, there is a small house where the entrance fee is charged. The entrance fee for an adult is 10 euros.
The steep walls of the canyon are between 50 and 100 meters high, with a total slope of about 250 m. The river has created many erosive features such as ponds and rapids, ending at the picturesque 13m Šum Falls.
A large part of the way passes through footbridges and a couple of bridges that we cross from side to side of the river, the last section when the gorge opened up
The path is still with rails on the banks of the Radovna river.
The path through the gorge is one-way, for the return there are two return paths arranged.
On our way back to Sta Caterina, both at the entrance and at the exit and at the beginning of the way back, there are different bars.
