Itinerary description
Tough trail. Goes straight up for 1400m. Very nice nature, totally different from the "sea level" part of the island!
Make sure:
1/ you bring at least 1.5L of water per person and enough to eat such as a few bananas and a sandwich
2/ you wear hiking shoes. It's very slippery.
3/ bring something warmer to wear when you reach the top
We did it with Efraim who is a local guide, super nice person. You can call him or whatsapp him on +50557234440.
Cost:
1/ There is a $5 fee you pay at a checkpoint towards the beginning of the hike
2/ We paid our guide $15 per person
3/ 20 Cordobas to the owner of the house were we parked our motorbikes and keep an eye on them
FYI the trail record misses part of the beginning of the hike. And for some reason we were super fast, usually it takes 7-8h to do this.
