Itinerary description

English (castellano debajo):

We started from the last available parking lot (for free) so that the total tour takes about 4 hours if you take it easy. There are few parking spots available but it usually doesn't get crowded.

There are several clearly defined parts to the journey. From the parking lot to the lake it is a nice climb with good views. To be able to rest there is a small descent and from there you will start a climb to the top of the Stockhorn. During this last part you will see many people going down as there are many who go up by cable car and then walk down (You can find the prices here: https://stockhorn.ch/stockhorn-cableway/cableway/cableway-prices).

Once at the top, the descent is more complicated. It is much rockier and you have to see well where you put your feet almost at all times. As we did an 8, at the starting point you have to continue going down to go back up; not excessively, but enough so that the less accustomed are quite tired.

There are many options to get on and off without one being better than the other.
There are also restaurants both at the top and along the way, so there is no problem if you want to rest, stop to eat or simply go to the bathroom.

Another alternative that is indicated from the village at the bottom is the "trotti bike", which is nothing more than a bicycle without pedals to descend the entire slope. Bicycles are rented at the chalet up in the mountain and you go down the road where they are picked up for you.

Castellano:
