Itinerary description
Two-day hike from Vossevangen to Kvanndal going through Voss mountains.
The trail start from Voss bus station and ends at Kvanndal ferry terminal. The beginning of the trail goes through the city and enters the Bordalsgjelet - a beautiful gorge and a local attraction.
The hike includes a very steep and long ascent to Voss mountains (from 0 to 1400 meters above sea level).
BEWARE OF THE WEATHER! What may look like a light rain in the city becomes a wild storm up in the mountains! And there is no place to hide from the weather up there, so it is advisable to eat and rest before ascending above the forest level and be ready to go up and then down to the other side of the mountains ridge without stopping.
The trail is marked with red T's, but at places markers are hard to see due to snow.
