Itinerary description
Portions of the hike are off the trail so it is recommended to bring long pants and closed shoes.
You can use the Amud Anan app (https://amudanan.co.il/) while hiking to find additional points of interest that I have not marked.

Wadi Anabe:
Starts at Park Anabe (has parking) and follows a well maintained trail all along the wadi. There are plenty of benches, water fountains, and fruit trees along the way as well as two large bridges to pass under. As the name implies, the riverbed is dry unless it has rained recently.
Ottoman Ruins:
At the end of the trail you can find some lime kilns and other various structures from the Ottoman Empire. Unfortunately, I was not able to visit all the sites and may have to do so another time.
Trail to Barphilia:
Has some ruins from the Byzantine period including a mikveh (ritual bath), grindstones, and the usual winepresses/wells.
Six Day War Trenches:
A number of branching trenches from the Six Day War which include small bunkers and some remnants of sandbags.
Byzantine Cloth House and Umayyad Farmhouse:
Remains of what is assumed to have been a Church which included a winepress, oil press, stable, and cloth house. Some of the structure cannot be seen as it is inside a cave.
The trail is not particularly shaded (although there are some rest stops under trees along the way) so it is recommended to bring a hat and water during the summer months.
Be careful as there are many open pits especially when deviating from the marked trails.
Waypoints
Lime Kiln
A lime kiln likely from the Ottoman Empire. It was a large furnace designed to calcify limestone and turn it into lime for various uses such as plaster or concrete.
Walled Ruin
Not sure what this is but there are a few of them in the area. The bottom section has an arch of some sort.
Ruins
Some kind of ruin on the other side of the wadi. I was unable to get to it and see what it was. Hope to do so on a future trip.
Field
Was barren when I hiked here. Might be more difficult to get through if you are hiking at a later time. Everything past this point is more difficult and it may be easier to take a car to get to some of the other locations.
Ruined Walls
Various ruins m(many of which I could not find). Not worth going to in the summer due to the thick shrubbery.
Second Temple Period Ruins
Ruins from the Second Temple period which include walls, a well, and mikveh.
Barphilia Viewpoint
A viewpoint overlooking Barphilia. I was unable to visit them during this hike but I plan to in the future.
Wadi Anabe
The starting point of Wadi Anabe. Is usually dry but has some water due to recent rain.
