Itinerary description
The hike to Jabel Jais is lovely and easy for experienced and fit hikers... it is a steep incline tho.
The tricky part is when passing the palace. First I got stoped by Omani police asking me to go back. At the end they allowed me to continue. The walk/climb along the fence of the palace is crazy long and anything else but conservative.
The rest of the trail is relatively easy again for a fit person.

Hi Zuzana,
Instead of going along the Palace fence (on the left side ), couldnt we walk from the right side ?
Where exactly the Omani police stop you ?

Hi Zuzanna,
I followed your trail in reverse from STH Right bank and descended into Ghalilah Dam.
We also touched Oman i summit of Jebel Jais.

Oh well done 👍🏻 did you go around the palace from the way I did or from the other side? Hope you had fun
We hiked around the Palace on the Right side and not the Ridge side.
