Today we, a small group of friends hiked up this Moderate graded trail from Wadi Naqab to the top farm on Yanas mountain. Its is called as green gate as the trail ends at the fence of a farm and there is a locked up green coloured gate.
This is a up and down same way trail.
The hike starts from Wadi Naqab, very close to Baqal village hike start point.
This start point is accessible for Sedans.
GPS coordinates. 25.715457, 56.087495

If you follow this trail, its pretty much self guiding as you can actually see a faint trail that is formed over so many years of usage by the local populace, probably before the Yanas mountain offroad was constructed.
Some great soul has also laid Cairn markers on the trail at strategic places, so that you can rely on them too.
But following GPS based trail is safest.
This trail is suitable for those hikers with sure footing, steps balancing and with experience on loose rocks.
There are no exposed places, no scrambling or climbing.
The trail has 2 steep ascents / descents.
At the start of the trail and near to the summit section.
The descent from the summit can be challenging due to loose rocks and unstable terrain.
You really need to take care during these sections.
Hiking poles can be very useful.
The ascent first steep section can be played with by choosing to hike up over stable rocky surface, as long as you connect to the trail at the top.
We started early in the morning, and pretty much covered the distance within decent time and managed not to be affected by the harsh sunlight.
The views from the trail include the Baqal village, Shanwood trail, Yibir mountain phone tower and Mebreh mountain.
On the way down, closer to the parking area, we had a nice view of newly constructed Naqab Dam, with no water.
The summit point is a private property, so it is advisable not to tresspass as it is fenced and gated. There are small flat rocks to sit and relax before descending.
Most of the trail, there are no shadeds. Very few trees.
Make sure you carry enough Hydration, shades, Nutrition for the hike.

This was a beautiful hike with a steep beginning but the ridge section was the best and even the top climbing was pretty ok. Thank you Patrick for all the nice and detailed info.
