Itinerary description
This bigger loop runs mostly on the southern flank of the mountain and offers stunning views to the east & west coast. It follows a mixture of indicated and interconnected trails. Starting from the pueblo to just before the Calvario chapel, then all the way up via the Puerto de Malaga trail, until you see the junction with the Picos de Mijas trail which you follow to then take de Cañaderos and finish off on the Cruz de Misión path back to the hermitage & village.

3hr trek, initially steep and rocky, then delightful trek through wooded hillside with steep and rocky descent back to start
