Itinerary description
We arrived to Batad from Banaue with a tricycle, so we have started the walk from Batad saddle (more powerful tricycles or jeepneys can leave you at the end of the concrete road a good few hundred metres down).
From Batad saddle we walked down the road (the construction continues further towards the village), and then a path to the village, where we reached a first impressive viewpoint (next to the tourist information boot).
From there we went down, between houses and rice terraces, having on our right side a view on the amphitheatre of the terraces.
From a small shop on the top of a hill we turned left to a path going steeply down to the river valley. We continued along until we reached a view on the waterfall.
We came back the same way.
We have been accompanied by a guide (recommended).
