Itinerary description
Doi Suthep starting near of the Chiang Mai University. Orange robes are tied around trees, which lead to the way, and it goes past the bijou Wat Pha Lat temple before heading up further to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep.
Worth the trek up, nice trail and very beautiful sights from up there. The moving time isn't accurate because the GPS sometimes stopped.
Bring some food and plenty of water. Long pants to go inside the temple areas are also required (zip-off pants are a good idea).
