Itinerary description
If you're in Barcelona and want to hike around, this is a must go spot!
Go to Plaça d'Espanya (you can find out how to get there using this website: mou-te.gencat.cat) and buy a Z4 (4 zones) ticket. You can even buy a T-10 (10 trips) multi-personal ticket, so you can go as a group up to 5 people and return with just 1 ticket (don't forget to validate for each person).
Catch the R5 train, direction Manresa, and exit in Monistrol de Montserrat.
R5 train timetable here:
https://www.redtransporte.com/barcelona/ferrocarriles-catalunya/linea-r5.html
This hike reaches a moderate level so I advise you a proper footwear (rather trekking shoes), take tons of water (you can buy water in the Monastery area, but avoid vending machines).
Starting point in Monistrol de Montserrat, passin in Monestir de Montserrat, Creu de Sant Miquel, Santa Magdalena, Santa Anna and return
Besides the Montserrat Monastery and Santa Magdalena Peak, you also have some secret spots following this trail, where you can enjoy some amazing views without the crowds.
