Itinerary description

My hiking friend Felicity and partner Nick and I arrived at Wilsons prom at 9am to check in at the Information Center and to get permit to put on dash board. Arrived at Telegraph Saddle Carpark drop toilets located here at 9.30am and started walking down the Telegraph Track around 10am took us 1.5hrs to get to the telegraph Junction and had morning tea break. No toilets located here. Only a seat to sit on.

Continued on Waterloo Bay walking track to Little Waterloo Bay for lunch. Drop toliet located here. Absolutely stunning white sand beach with clear turquoise waters. Then up to Kersop Peak. We left our packs at the sign to do this Kersop Peak walk, definitely worth the climb, however please ensure your backpack is fully secured a few hikers coming up that passed said there was a crow raiding my bag and I came back down with few belongings spread over the ground. After that little incident we made our way to Refuge Granite Rock then camping at Refuge Cove Campground for the night. We arrived at campground at 5pm. Total 19km walk first day. So had about an hour of sunlight to set tent up and cook dinner before bed.

Water here is not treated and is tea tinted brown colour but was fine once I used aqua tab and boiled for 20mins. Drop toilets located here.

In the morning we left at 8am and followed the Sealers Cove-Refuge cove walking track to make it to low tide at 10.30am 5th of October 2019. Being he east coast we had the morning sunrise and sun on us which was so lovely and beautiful breathtaking views of the ocean and coves and beaches in the the distance. We also chose this way for the low tide river crossing at 10.30am. And had early lunch at 11am in the beach after we crossed.

We then took the Sealers Cove walking track through Sealers swamp passing through Mount Ramsey on the right and Mount Mcallister. I really enjoy coming back this way to Telegraph Saddle Carpark by 3pm. Made a quick stop at the viewing platform. Then got back to Melbourne at 6.30pm.
