Itinerary description

English (castellano debajo):

The track is part of a tour that starts in Cusco. From there there is a bus which will take you to the parking on the mountain. And the way by bus is actually very bumpy and with lots of curves.

Once you are in the parking, the route is short but quite steep. There will be many people who will offer you a horse ride (from about 60 soles from the bottom and reduced price the upper you are), but be careful as the horses don't make it all the way up (there is a blue sign up to the point they are allowed to go). The worst part you cannot actually do it by horse.

As it was the rainy season the weather didn't help much and it was foggy most of the time. It also rained, hailed, was sunnnny,... a bit of everything. The path was muddy but it was easy to walk.

The way is actually easy but because of the altitude (you reach to more than 5000 m. - 16500 feet) and it's also steep so it makes it a bit more difficult. Just think that everyone is able to make it, so slower or faster, you'll reach as well.

The last part if stairs (within the mountain) and you have a change to hold in a chain.
You will find lots of people along the way as it is very touristic.

There are restrooms in the parking and also in the first stop for 1 sol and you will be able to buy something to eat or drink once up there.

Castellano:
