Itinerary description
Start at Chek Lap Kok new village and hike to the end of the road. Go up the main stream (not the smaller one on the left) and keep going until the end where there are three tall waterfalls - left dragon, right dragon, and dragon tail. You can swim in any of the pools on the way up. The highest pool underneath dragon tail waterfall is tiny, and has to be entered by swimming through the dragon’s cave. Watch out for small baby dragons in the water!
An easy route down would be to go back the way you came. But if you fancy a harder adventure go down on as far as the left dragon waterfall. There is a rope up a steep cliff (on the right as you face the waterfall), and this leads to a very steep scramble to the top of left dragon waterfall. From there join left dragon stream and go up the increasingly narrow stream, following the ribbons through the forest. Eventually you will come out the top of the forest and find a major hiking path that leads left to Tung Chung (or you can go right to Mui Wo).
