Itinerary description
The Xiblu Waterfall Route is an easy trail visiting one of Asturias' nicest waterfalls in a lesser-known part of Asturias. There's a parking at the start of the route with an information panel about the flora and fauna in this area.
The first part (ca 1 km) of the route is actually accessible with a wheelchair/stroller from where you have nice views over the River Paramo valley. The spacious path continues through a beautiful beech forest 'Hayedo de Montegrande'; that's why this route is best in autumn!
The last part to the top of the waterfall is quite a climb on a slippery and narrow path, but it's worth to climb all the way up and let the mist of the waterfall refresh you! We went the same way back, but it is possible to continue with other routes, for example to the village 'La Focella'.
